GMA elects new Executive Council

Accra, Dec. 16, GNA – Dr Francis Adu-Ababio, a lecturer at the University of Ghana Dental School, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, has been elected the new President of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) for a two-year term.

He was elected at the end of the Association’s 47th Annual General meeting held in Sunyani, a statement signed by Dr Kwabena Opoku-Adusei, outgoing General Secretary, said Dr Kofi Asare, Ashanti Regional Director of Health Services, was elected Vice President. Dr Kwabena Opoku Adusei, Medical Superintendent of Suntreso Government Hospital, Kumasi was elected the General Secretary and Dr Sodzi Sodzi-Tetteh of the St Anthony Hospital, Dodze in the Volta Region took the position of Assistant General Secretary.

The others were Dr Rhoda Manu of Maamobi Polyclinic in Accra, Treasurer with Dr Miriana Taylor of the Koforidua Central Hospital and Dr Boateng Boakye, Medical Superintendent of Axim Government Hospital being elected as National Executive Members.
