GPRTU urged drivers to make the Christmas accident-free

Offinso (Ash), Dec 14, GNA – Mr Osei Sarfoh-Kantanka, the Chairman of the Offinso District branch of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), has advised drivers to make this year’s Christmas peaceful and accident-free. In a Christmas message to drivers, especially those who ply Kumasi-Offinso on Tuesday, Mr Sarfoh-Kantanka told the drivers to avoid overloading, over-speeding and unnecessary over-taking to spare the public the agony of road accidents. He commended the drivers plying Offinso-Kumasi road for maintaining their accident-free record for five consecutive years and advised them to maintain it. He said drivers who have exhibited a high sense of professionalism, discipline and courtesy to passengers would be honoured by the end of the year. ”Sanctions would be slapped on drivers who would drive carelessly and unprofessionally during this Christmas.”
