Charity donates coffee dispensing machine to Parliament

Accra, Dec 14, GNA – The Knight of Malta Saint John, an International charity, on Wednesday donated a coffee dispensing machine and its accessories worth 60 million cedis to Parliament. The machine, which could dispense 1000 cups of coffee before a refill, is to complement the manual serving of other beverages in the legislature’s teashop. Nana Koranteng, Protocol Officer, said the donation was part of its civil responsibility activities. He said: “We thought that we could just help our MPs relax during and after long hours of debate and deliberation on the affairs of the nation.” Nana Koranteng said the charity would donate assorted goods to Christian, Muslims organisations and orphanages in the country before Christmas.
