Miss World being crowned today
SANYA, China — China is hosting the Miss World pageant.
The 102 women vying for the crown are more than just pretty faces. More than half of them speak three or four languages.
In addition to the Miss World title, there is a crown for Miss Multi-lingual. Organizers say that award should be shared by the contestants from Ghana and Latvia. They each speak six languages.
Linguistics are not the only talents on stage. One woman is training in Cuba to be a veterinary surgeon.
