NDC youth leader robbed

Joy Online — Armed robbers have broken into the residence of the Deputy National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, Ludwig Hlodze.

The robbers attacked the House at about 9 am Saturday morning and took a younger sister of the deputy youth organizer hostage whiles they ransacked the rooms in the house.

Mr. Hlodze was on assignment in the Western regional capital, Takoradi at the time of the robbery.

The robbers locked up his sister in the house?s toilet and went on with their operation.

They stole money belonging to his sister-in-law, which was kept in their guest room. The robbers also ransacked his bedroom and his wardrobe but no items were taken.

Her sister sent SMS messages to some people who in turn alerted the Police but the robbers bolted before the Police got there.

This is the eighth time robbers have attacked the residence of the NDC deputy national organizer.

Mr. Ludwig Hlodze told JOYNEWS he is beginning to suspect the robberies are a ploy to intimidate him.

?I don?t understand why they are doing this to me. There are big houses around me but they keep coming to mine. I don?t know what they want. My passport and my computer were not taken so what do they want from me. I am worried and the Police are not helping me too?, he said.

The Madina Police is investigating the robbery.
