Environmental exhibition opens next week

Accra, Nov. 18, GNA – A two-day environmental exhibition to showcase the activities of stakeholders on the environment sector would be held in Accra from November 24, a statement from the Earth Service, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), said on Friday. It is being organised by Earth Service with support from the UNDP Small Grant Programme under the theme: “Protecting and Conserving Environmental Resources For Sustainable Growth”.

About 70 participants from the public and private sectors, civil society groups and educational institutions would be participating to showcase their products and services which range from energy efficient saving devices and technologies to education and awareness creating strategies to conserve and protect biodiversity and water bodies, among other things.

The statement signed by Mr Joshua Awuku-Apaw, Executive Director of Earth Service, said the exhibition, dubbed “ENVIRO-EXPO”, was to showcase the activities of stakeholders in the environment sector as they strived to protect and conserve the natural environment and the atmosphere for use by humanity.
