Techiman (B/A), Nov. 9, GNA – Madam Gladys Fosuaa, a 35-year-old farmer at Techiman has given birth to a set of triplets, two females and a male at the Arms maternity home clinic in Techiman. Madam Fosuaa, who already has two children and the babies are doing well at home.
She expressed gratitude to the management of the clinic for her safe delivery.
Mrs Dorcas Fordjour, midwife in charge and national vice-president of the Ghana Registered Midwives Association told the Ghana News Agency that Madam Fosuaa successfully delivered because of her periodic check ups at the clinic during pregnancy. “Check ups by pregnant women are very crucial”, she said and advised husbands to allow their wives to make antenatal visits to clinics to save their lives. The midwife said the triplets were the third to be delivered safely at the clinic and called for the inclusion of recognized health institutions and maternity clinics in the health insurance scheme. Meanwhile Madam Fosuaa has appealed to philanthropists, religious bodies and NGOs to come to her aid. 9 Nov. 05
