The Auditor-General, Mr Edward Dua Agyeman, has been exposed as a big liar. Yesterday, he denied to the whole world through Peace FM that he had written to the bankers of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), an act that is tantamount to jumping into the day-to-day management of the corporation and clearly a flagrant usurpation of the powers of the Board of GBC.
However, documentation uncovered since then by the Searchlight reveal clearly that when he told the nation that he had not written to the bankers of GBC, Mr Dua Agyeman was lying in his teeth. In a letter dated 14th October, 2005, on the Auditor-General?s official letterhead, Mr Dua-Agyeman instructed the bankers of GBC, namely the Bank of Ghana, Prudential Bank and African Development Bank to honour all cheques issued by embattled Director-General Ms Eva Lokko and the Financial Director of GBC, Mr Kofi Kye.
