Police/Military to curb armed robberies in V/R

Ho, Oct. 31, GNA – The Volta Regional Security Council (REGSEC) at an emergency meeting on Wednesday October 26 directed the Police and the Military to step up patrols in the Region to curb the upsurge of armed robbery particularly on the Aflao-Accra trunk road.

A statement signed by Mr Steve Selormey, Regional Coordinating Director (RCD) said the Security Council was taking a serious view of the situation and pledged to stop the menace.

The Council directed that the Police and Military mount “effective roadblocks at strategic locations throughout the region”.
