Former NDC Chairman calls for unity within the party

Kumasi,Oct.21, GNA – Alhaji Gado Suleimana, former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman of the Asawasi Constituency, has advised party activists and supporters not to blame any group or individuals for problems within the party.

He said problems were created within the party therefore, it would be wrong to single out any group or individuals such an unfortunate development.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi on Thursday, Alhaji Gado stressed the need for the party to solve all differences and problems within the party before the 2008 elections. Alhaji Gado pointed out that factions existed within the party, and it was when the rank and file recognized these that they could solve them.

He was optimistic that NDC had the opportunity “to sweep the polls in 2008, but they need to bury their differences and unite as one big family.” Alhaji Gado appealed to Muslims to use the fasting period to pray for peace in the country, and share their fortunes with the poor and needy in society.
