Takoradi, Oct 04, GNA – Mr William Derry, the Deputy Coordinating Director for Jomoro District in the Western Region, died on the spot when the vehicle on which he was travelling with Mr Martin Yamikeh Ackah, District Chief Executive, was involved in an accident Ahobre junction on Sunday.
Mr Ackah is on admission at the GHAPOHA Hospital in Takoradi, officials at the hospital said.
An eyewitness told the GNA at Takoradi that the vehicle on which they were travelling ran over a heap of sand by the road, somersaulted and hit a palm tree.
