Police mounts search for driver

Abuakwa (Ash), Sept. 27, GNA – The Abuakwa police has mounted an intensive search for the arrest of a driver who allegedly forcibly had sex with a lady passenger on board his taxi at Sepaase near Abuakwa in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District.

A police source told the GNA at Abuakwa that on July 28, this year, at 2000 hours, the suspect whose name was only given as Peter, picked the victim from Abuakwa to Sepaase.

The source said on reaching the outskirts of Sepaase, the driver parked at the roadside in the darkness and forcibly had sex with the victim in the taxi.

After the act, the police said, the suspect also collected an amount of 300,000 cedis from the victim’s handbag and bolted. The victim later reported the matter to the police.
