Envoy delivers special letter to President Kufuor

Accra, Sept. 26, GNA – An Envoy of Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva on Thursday delivered a special letter from him to President John Agyekum Kufuor at the Castle, Osu. The contents were, however, not disclosed.

Mr Jose Viegas Filho, the Special Envoy, said the Brazilian Leader was grateful to President Kufuor for the warm reception he accorded him during his sate visit to Ghana.

He described the visit as not only productive but rewarding. He said President Lula da Silva was proud to be part of efforts at re-invigorating the friendship and co-operation between Ghana and Brazil.

The Envoy said they were expecting a return visit by President Kufuor within the next few months.

President Kufuor said the friendship between the two nations were renewed by the two leaders during the just ended United Nations summit held in New York, in the United States and pledged a reciprocal visit. Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo, Ghana’s Foreign Minister, was present at the meeting. 26 Sept. 05
