Wallahs Academy donates furniture to Ho JSS

Ho, Sep. 22, GNA- Wallahs Academy, a private school in the Ho Municipality, which offer vacation and remedial classes for senior secondary school students, has donated 20 desks and other learning materials, worth seven million cedis to Ho Bankoe Roman Catholic Junior Secondary School.

Mr Maxwell Wallahs Affram, Proprietor of the school who made the donation said the gesture was to complement Government’s effort in providing accessible and quality education for all. He said the gift would also facilitate the teaching and learning environment in the school and promote individual work among the pupils. Mr Afram underscored the importance of education especially basic education, which he said formed the foundation for future academic progression.

He called on corporate organizations, individuals and philanthropists to assist the Government in providing learning and teaching materials for the schools.

Mrs Agnes Selormey, Headmistress of the school expressed appreciation for the donation, which she described as timely. She said the school was likely to face the problem of increased enrolment due to the free education policy being implemented by Government.
