Asikuma-Odoben Brakwa NDC elects new executives

Breman Asikuma (C/R), Sept 20, GNA – Mr Samuel Aidoo, a businessman at Breman Asikuma, was on Sunday elected chairman of the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr Aidoo polled 105 of the 198 votes as against 53 by the other contestant whose name was only given as Mr. Asante. He was made the party’s 1st vice-chairman to conform to the party’s regulations.

Other officers were Mr Kweku Pentsil, 2nd vice chairman, Mr Joseph Arthur Hagan, Deputy Secretary, Mr Fifii Kwakye Thompson, Organiser and Mr Mathew Odai Mensah, Deputy Organiser.

The rest were Mr Ben Zigah, Treasure, Madam Glory Nyameson, Women Organiser, Mr Solomon Mensah Youth Organiser and Mr. Moses Atta Mensah, Propaganda Secretary.

Mr Patrick Anniagyei, the Central Regional Organiser of the party who sworn the new executives into office, urged them to unite and work hard for the party to win the seat from the NPP during the 2008 elections.

Mr Aidoo assured supporters that they would not abuse the confidence placed in them and would work hard for the party to win the 2008 elections.
