Kotoku chief calls on Birim South DCE

Akim Oda, Sept. 17, GNA – The Birim South District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Frank Kwame Busumtwi, has urged chiefs in the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area to come out with suggestions on how to reactivate the campaign on the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in the area. He pledged to put all resources at their disposal to ensure that the NHIS succeed in the District to enable the people, especially the poor, to have access to quality health care. Mr Busumtwi made the appeal when a standing committee of the Akim Kotoku Traditional Council, led by the Gyaasehene, Obrempong Asare Antwi-Peasah, on Friday paid a courtesy call on him at Akim Oda to congratulate him on his appointment. Other members of the delegation were Obrempong Gyampire Agyekum II, Nifahene, Nana Dwamena Akenten II, Acting Krontihene and Obrempong Sintim Poku III, Benkumhene.

Mr Busumtwi told the chiefs that he recognized the role they played in the development of the District and said for him to succeed in his duty tour, he would need their total support. Obrempong Antwi-Peasah on behalf of his colleagues thanked the DCE for the warm reception and assured that they would do their best to let him succeed in all his undertakings.
