Tema Police records 33 narcotic cases between January to August

Tema, Sept. 15, GNA – The Tema Regional Police Command recorded 33 narcotic cases from January to August this year. Police Chief Inspector Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, Tema Regional Police Public Relations Officer told the press in Tema on Thursday that the police arrested 96 suspects including six females within the period.

Police Chief Inspector Nketia-Yeboah said the Police undertook seven anti-drug trafficking operations to clamp down on drug peddlers. He said seven suspects were arrested during an operation within the Ada district and during two operations at Tema New Town and Site Two, 21 suspects including a woman were arrested.

Police Chief Inspector Nketia-Yeboah said at Lashibi and Communities 18, 19 and 20, the Police arrested 13 suspects. He said six suspects were arrested during two operations conducted at Old Tulaku and Asensu Bar in Ashaiman.
