Enhance children learning abilities by providing them with balanced diet

Nkawie (Ash), Sept. 8, GNA – An Assistant Director of Education in-charge of Human Resource Management and Development at Atwima-Nwabiagya district education directorate has reiterated the need for children to be given quality diet to enhance their learning abilities.

Mr Baffour Asare-Bediako, who was addressing more than 500 school food vendors at a workshop at Nkawie on Tuesday, implored them not only to operate under hygienic conditions but also make their food affordable.

The workshop was organised by the Atwima-Nwabiagya district education directorate in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. Mr Asare-Bediako said school food vendors had a crucial role to play to ensure that the mental and physical resources of the child were effectively developed.

He advised them to be actively involved in school health programmes including clean-up campaigns, tree planting exercise and other environmental campaigns. 08 Sep. 05
