BoG Ladies Donate To Orphanage In Tema

The Bank of Ghana Ladies Association (BOGLA) has donated ?1.5 million (One million, five hundred thousand cedis) and a quantity of food items, toiletries, plates, cups, toys and used clothing to the Missionaries of Charity Orphanage in Tema.

The donation, which forms part of BOGLA?s programme of activities lined up for the year 2005, was planned when members of the association got information about the orphanage which houses children between the ages of one month and three years old.

Donating the items on behalf of members, Mrs. Evelyn Kwatia, President of BOGLA, said the donation was the association?s widow?s mite, which she hoped would help provide some comfort to the children.

The Sister-on-duty, Sister Oblettam, who received the items on behalf of the orphanage, was very grateful for the donation and said no contribution was too small to assist the orphanage to cater for the needs of the less fortunate children who are 25 in number.
