Out-going Envoy bids President Kufuor farewell

Accra, Aug. 31, GNA – Dr Machivenyika T. Mapuranga, out-going Zimbabwean High Commissioner to Ghana, on Wednesday paid a farewell call on President John Agyekum Kufuor at the Castle, Osu.

He is leaving after a four-year duty tour of the country. President Kufuor praised the Envoy for conducting himself so well, saying, “You are going away with some distinction. Government is appreciative of your service as you made us understand challenges and problems confronting your country”.

Dr Mapuranga, who was the first Zimbabwean resident High Commissioner to the country, thanked President Kufuor for what he said was the co-operation and brotherly assistance extended to him. He leaves finally at the end of September, this year. Present at the ceremony was Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
