Ex-convict gets another four years

Cape Coast, Aug 25, GNA – An ex-convict who returned from prison last December for stealing was on Tuesday sentenced to four years imprisonment by a circuit court at Cape-coast for stealing a mobile phone. Papa Bondzie pleaded guilty to unlawful entry and stealing and was convicted on his plea.

Chief Inspector David Darko told the court that last Thursday one Mr Emmanuel Quayson gave his mobile to a co-tenant at Anomabu to charge his battery for him.

George Eduful, the co-tenant, left the door to his room unlooked to attend nature’s call and when he returned he could not found the phone. When Eduful made enquiries he was told Bondzie was seen entering his room.

Chief Inspector Darko said Bondzie admitted the offence and said he had given the phone to a friend but the friend could not be traced.
