US Neurosurgeons to offer free services

Accra, Aug. 22, GNA – A five-man United States medical team is in the country to perform free Neuro – Surgical operations at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

The team led by Dr Agha Khan, a Neuro Surgeon Specialist, from Neuro Spinal and Human Development Organisation Incorporated (US) is working in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in support of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana (AMMG).

A statement signed by Ahmad N. Twumasi, Public Relations Officer of the (AMMG), said the team which has been in Ghana on two previous occasions would stay for two weeks.

The team include Dr Magdy Shady, a Neuro Surgeon; Dr Stella Ejiofo, Anaesthetist; Terri Blune, Physician Assistant and Elease Witherspoon, a Neuro Surgical Registered Nurse.
