Adansi South MP calls for unity among politicians

New Edubiase (Ash), Aug 17, GNA – Mr Ernest Kofi Yakah, the Member of Parliament for New Edubiase, has called for unity among the country’s political leaders.

He said the country could achieve its developments goals and maintain peace and stability if political leaders see themselves as one people with a common destiny.

Speaking at a meeting of the Adansi South District Assembly at New Edubiase, Mr Yakah said though he went to Parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress, he would work closely with the District Chief Executive to move the district forward.

”The development of a country is determined by the kind of unity that prevails among the political leaders since they serve as the light.”

Mr Yakah said he was not happy about the way some politicians particularly MPs insult each other during discussion programmes on radio stations.

The MP promised to use his share of the Common Fund to support development in the area, particularly in education.
