WV Gives to Schools, Hospitals and Physically Challenged

Bongo (U/E), Aug 11, GNA – The Bongo Area Development Programme (ADP) of the World Vision-Ghana (WV) on Wednesday, presented of items estimated at about 3.08 billion cedis to various institutions and the physically challenged in the Upper East Region The items included wheel chairs, medical supplies and educational materials including assorted books.

Two libraries and schools in Bongo and Bolgatanga received the books while 40 wheel chairs were given to the physically challenged in the Bongo District.

Speaking at the presentation, Ms Benedicta Pea lore, Programme Manager of the ADP said WV believed in a holistic and sustainable development and was focusing on health, education, agriculture and small-scale businesses.

She said the beneficiary communities selected the programmes. Mr. Boniface Gambila, Upper East Regional Minister, who received the items, thanked WV and said that the items would help in improving education and the health sectors.
