Govt cautioned against fuel price increases

Accra, Aug. 8, GNA – The Ashiedu Keteke District of National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Monday cautioned the Government against any increases in fuel prices, saying they would negatively affect the population.

A statement issued by the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Odododiodo bye-election in Accra, Mr Jonathan Tackie Komme said any increase in fuel prices as being speculated by the media, would affect the already deplorable condition of Ghanaians as well as the fishing industry.

He noted that the Odododiodo Constituency, which is largely a fishing community, would be affected adversely should fuel prices be increased.

Mr Komme said he was determined to organise the people of Odododiodo and other fishing communities nationwide to oppose “this vampire policy”.
