Council of Zongo chiefs President send message of condolence

Kumasi, Aug 05, GNA – Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim, chief of Wangara in the Ashanti Region and President of Council of Zongo Chiefs in Kumasi, has on behalf of the chiefs, expressed his condolences to the government and people of Saudi Arabia on the death of King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz. A statement issued in Kumasi and signed by Alhaji Ibrahim said the late King Fahd loved peace and threaded the path of peace and became a beacon of peace for humanity.

It said King Fahd symbolised charity and that it was under his leadership that Ghanaian Muslims enjoyed scholarships to study in the Kingdom.

”Today, Ghana can boost of a cream of scholars in diverse fields of human endeavour who are products of universities in Saudi Arabia.” The statement said many people had the opportunity to perform the pilgrimage to Mecca through his charities.
