Genuine unification needed to bring progress to Gas – Nii Tsuru

Accra, Aug. 2, GNA – Total and genuine unification among the Gas are the only things that could bring progress and development to Gas, Nii Tetteh Tsuru II, Otuopai Mantse, said on Tuesday.

“Let us bury all our differences and shun bickering and rancour, which seem to have divided us as a people with a common destiny,” he said.

The Otuopai Mantse, who made the appeal at a special pre-homowo session that saw sub-chiefs, families and friends of the Otuopai clan visiting the palace to present items needed for the celebration of this year’s festival said: “Let’s seek peace and preach love in the spirit of oneness in the ensuing years.”

Among the items that were presented were maize, yam, fish, palm oil and assorted drinks.

Nii Tetteh Tsuru II said the day was to demonstrate love for the stool and also to remind the people of the need to show love and preach oneness.

Mrs Theresa Tagoe, Deputy Minister of Mines, Mr Stanley Adjiri Blankson, Accra Metro Chief Executive and a representative of the Greater Accra Regional Minister were also there to pay homage to the Otuopai Mantse.
