Kejetia Traders Association roots for Major Cobbinah as MCE

Kumasi, Aug 01, GNA – The Kejetia Traders Association otherwise known as “Mighty 18”, has appealed to President John Agyekum Kufuor to nominate Major Alex J. Cobbinah (rtd) as the Metropolitan Chief Executive for Kumasi.

A statement issued in Kumasi and signed by Nana Samuel Kofi Boateng, Chairman of the association, said the appeal stemmed from the fact that his nomination and approval would enable him to continue with the good works he started in the Kumasi Municipality when he was the chairman of the then Kumasi City Council.

It said: “Your excellency, we have confidence in him. During his time as the Chief Executive of KMA, he provided the city with dual carriage roads and beautified the city”.

The statement stated that Major Cobbinah was a straight forward man who was not money conscious because he had already acquired his assets and therefore if he was nominated he would perform well even better than when he was Chief Executive. 01 Aug 05
