Alhaji Yeboah confirmed as DCE for Kwabre

Mamponteng (Ash), July 20, GNA – Alhaji Ahmed Akwasi Yeboah was on Wednesday confirmed as the District Chief Executive for Kwabre. He polled 45 votes as against 15 of the total 60 votes cast in an election held at Mamponteng.

Mr Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwabre West, Mr Kofi Frimpong, MP for Kwabre East and Mr Sampson Kwaku Boafo, Ashanti Regional Minister and his Deputy, Madam Patricia Appiagyei, witnessed the poll conducted by the Electoral Commission. In an acceptance speech, Alhaji Yeboah thanked God and the Assembly members for confirming his nomination and said what mattered in democracy was for people to make choices.

Mr Boafo commended the Assembly members for not letting down the President who nominated Alhaji Yeboah.

He urged the DCE not to fish out those who voted against him for revenge but to work hard to ensure good governance in the District.
