The body of the Ghanaian victim of last week?s London bomb attack, Mrs Gladys Wundowa has been officially released to the family in London.
This follows a successful corona?s inquest last Friday by the medical and security officials handling the matter.
The inquest report indicated that Gladys died as a result of explosions. Tavistock Square with 12 other victims on the bus occurred during a coordinated bomb attack in London on the 7th of this month.
Gladys did not die on the spot. According to emergency medical and security source she was treated on the pavement near the crime spot but upon further medical alert she was being transported on an emergency ambulance to a hospital when she died on the way.
In an interview with the widower, Mr Emmanuel Wundowa, he expressed dissatisfaction about the state of the body. He could not give further details but indicated that ?because of her loved ones we have to organised wake-keeping here in London to enable as many Ghanaians as possible to mourn with us?.
He said private funeral directors have been organised to prepare the body which was viewed by some members of the family a tight security area in central London last Friday.
He said the body will be flown to Ghana within the first or second week of August depending on a number of factors like acquisition of air tickets among other things.

Mr. Wundowa who appears to be now coming to terms with the terrible occurrence indicated ?I have to send the body to Avenui-Awodome in the Volta Region and not Tsito as reported in some sections of the press.
He expressed his gratitude to President Kufour and Ghana?s High Commissioner to the UK, Mr. Isaac Osei for their personal assistance and support during what he described as ?his difficult times?.
Until her death, Mrs. Wundowa was an administrative secretary working with a charity, African Development Agencies in Hackney, in East London and also doing a part-time course in housing Management at the Hackney College.
Gladys was killed among 55 others in a bomb attack on London on the 7th of this month. The President Mr. J.A. Kufour who was in London last week visited the bereaved family to console them.
