Chiefs commended for efforts to reconcile JAK & JJ

Kumasi, July 14, GNA – Mr Kwame Appiah Boateng, a member of the CPP, has commended the National House of Chiefs on its efforts to reconcile President John Agyekum Kufuor and former President Jerry John Rawlings. He said the attempt by the chiefs indicated their show of concern for the perceived acrimony between the President and the former President. These were contained in a statement issued by Mr Boateng in Kumasi on Tuesday.

He expressed concern about the inability of the Office of the President to find a suitable date for the chiefs to meet President Kufuor to discuss the issue.

Mr Boateng appealed to the offices of both parties to appreciate the efforts of the chiefs and open their doors to enable the chiefs to solve the problem.
