DCE calls for love, unity among the youth

Nkoranza (B/A) July 12, GNA – Mr. Kofi Adu-Bediako, Nkoranza North constituency secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged the new Nkoranza District Chief Executive, Mr. James Appiah-Awuah to promote love, unity and co-operation among the youth of the various political parties in the area.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Nkoranza, he noted that the “unhealthy differences among the youth in the area was as a result of partisan politics.”

The NDC secretary said the rift was particularly between NDC and New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters.

Mr. Adu-Bediako said he was hopeful that if the DCE intervened, cases involving members of the political divide could be settled amicably out of court.

He commended the Assembly Members for endorsing the nomination of Mr. Appiah-Awuah and urged them to give him the necessary support to enable him to serve the district well.

“Municipal and DCEs should not draw lines between their Assembly Members for if they should be selective in dealing with them they would meet challenges and attract criticisms and that would affect their performance”, the NDC scribe said.

Mr. Adu-Bediako appealed to traditional rulers to cooperate with Assembly Members, Unit Committees and opinion leaders in their communities to jointly plan development programmes.
