Human rights lecture slated for July 12

Accra, July 5, GNA – This year’s human rights public lecture titled: “The Situation of Human Rights in Ghana: Accessing Trends from 2000 to 2004”, comes off at the Main Hall of the British Council on July 12. The programme is being organised jointly by the Ghana Bar Association (GBA), the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative and the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).

A statement issued in Accra by the organisers said four personalities have been billed to speak on the topic.

They are Mr Sam Okudzeto, Chairman of the International Advisory Commission, Ms Anna Bossman, Acting Commissioner of CHRAJ, Dr Ken Attafuah, Head of Governance School, GIMPA and Mr Nii Osah Mills, Chairman of the Human Rights and Legal Aid Committee.
