?Count your blessings as Ghanaians?- JAK

President John Kufuor says Ghanaians with genuine complaints should avail themselves of the due process of law in pursuit of accountability, transparency and justice.

He says short of this, rumour-mongering and unfounded allegations should be seen as a disservice to the nation.

He was speaking at a State Luncheon in honour of Senior Citizens of Ghana as part of activities marking the 45th Republic Day Anniversary celebrations in Accra.

The President said Ghanaians should begin to count their blessings and refrain from pronouncements and actions that could undermine the international goodwill that the country currently enjoys.

He also told the senior citizens that government has increased their pensions by 50%.

He said frontline staff of the Pensions Department is being retrained to make them more sensitive to the needs of pensioners.
