Two artists fined for stealing

Elmina June 29, GNA- A District Court at Elmina on Tuesday fined two artists a total of four million cedis for unlawful entry and stealing property and 250,000 cedis belonging to one Madam comfort Otoo. Sylvester Arhin, 24, and Fizzy Westerhoff, a Tanzanian will to jail for nine months each in default.

Inspector Joshua Eduful told the court presided over by Mr Beresford Acquah, that on June 19 this year, Arhin approached Madam Otoo, his aunt, for money to enable him to repair his broken over-lock machine, but she failed to assist him. The prosecutor said Arhin and his friend Westerhoff conspired and broke into he store and stole some items and the cash.

Insp. Eduful said the theft was reported to the police and upon a tip-off, the two men were arrested and during interrogation they admitted that they committed the offence.
