Farmer defiles eight year-old-girl

Tarkwa, June 28, GNA – A 19 year-old farmer, Kofi Odeefour, was today sentenced to 20 years imprisonment in hard labour by a Tarkwa circuit Court for defiling an eight year-old pupil.

He pleaded not guilty. Chief Inspector Jonathan Adotey told the court that the victim is a pupil of Kwakuboa D.C Primary School near Tarkwa, and live together with her grand parents.

On April 6, Odeefour invited the victim to his room, defiled her and warned her not to tell anybody else she would die. The victim, for fear of death, failed to inform her grandparents until April 10 when the grand parents detected that she was walking abnormally.

Chief Inspector Adotey said when the grandparents questioned her she mentioned the accused as the one who defiled.
