4,800 dollars water project for Effutu Gyahadze/Esuaekyir

Agona Swedru, June 25, GNA – The Mountain Caro International Fellowship, Group of Churches in the USA has provided pipe-bone water at the cost of 4,800 dollars for chiefs and the people of Effutu Gyahadze and Esuaekyir to solve their perennial water problem.

Bishop James Sekyere, Founder and Leader of the Resurrection Temple in Accra, who announced this at a five-day workshop for Pastors, Elders and Church members at Agona Swedru. He said medical doctors from USA would come to Ghana next year to treat eyes, dental problems, elephantiasis, malaria and Guinea worm free of charge in the Central and Greater Accra regions.

Bishop Sekyere stressed the need for churches to assist in solving social issues confronting communities they operated in and not to rely on the government. He cautioned Pastors who used foul means to swindle their congregations and people to desist from the practice since it dented the image of the Church. Bishop Sekyere said the workshop was to sensitise the participants on the need to cooperate to uplift the image of the Church.

The Right Reverend Francis Out-Arthur and the Reverend Ebenezer Kweku Eduafo, Organisers of the workshop urged them to put a misunderstanding within the Church behind them. The participants called for transparency in the administration of churches to facilitate evangelism and social development and urged the people to take the National Health Insurance Scheme serious to enable them to have access to quality health care.
