Nkoranza (B/A) June 21, GNA- Members of Nadowli Youth Association in the Nkoranza District, have called for the confirmation of Wing Commander Eric Dakura as District Chief Executive for Nadowli in the Upper West Region. They expressed the hope that the President’s nominee would use his rich knowledge and experience to promote the development of the area.
Mr Lawrence B. Dakubu, Chairman of the Association told Ghana News Agency in an interview that Wing Commander Dakura’s nomination was in the right direction and commended President Kufuor for his foresight. Mr Dakubu, an official at the Nkoranza District Directorate of Education noted that Nadowli lagged behind in development and it was time the people came together to help develop the area. He advised the people not to be divided by partisan politics and urged the District Assembly members to give Wing Commander Dakura a 100 per cent endorsement in the interest of the district.
Mr Dakubu advised citizens of the district to place high premium on the pursuit of education and in the fight against endemic poverty in the area. They must also endeavour to provide accommodation for workers in the district to facilitate productivity.
