Parents asked to ensure prompt payment of fees

Breman-Asikuma (C/R), June 12, GNA – The Managing Proprietor of My St. International School at Breman-Asikuma in the Central Region, Reverend Robert Kotey has advised parents and guardians to attach great value to the payment of school fees. He said that was the only appropriate means for school authorities to obtain money to facilitate teaching and learning.

Rev. Kotey was speaking at a Parent/Teacher Association (PTA) meeting of the school at Breman-Asikuma. He appealed to the District Assembly and the Ghana Education Trust Fund for financial and material support to enable the school to play its part in the promotion of basic education.

Mr Godwill Francis Acquah, Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Director of the Department of Social Welfare who presided over the meeting charged parents to insulate their children against negative peer pressure and influences.

Mr Joseph Richard Ndualeo, Headmaster of the school, urged parents to buy the necessary textbooks for their children to enhance academic work. He explained that the absence of such vital educational facilities made the work of teachers very difficult.
