Parliament to debate formula on Common Fund

Accra, June 10, GNA – Parliament would on next week Wednesday debate the Proposed Formula for Sharing the District Assemblies’ Common Fund for the year 2005. Mr Abraham Ossei Aidooh, The Deputy Majority Leader, announced this when he presented the Business Statement for the sixth week ending Friday, June 17, 2005. He said Major Courage Quashigah (rtd), Minister of Health, would on the same day tell Parliament when the Dodowa District Hospital would commence operation.

Ministers, who would appear in the House during the week to answer questions include the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Hackman Owusu-Agyemang; Minister of Lands, Forestry and Mines, Prof. Dominic Fobih; Minister of Energy, Prof. Mike Oquaye and the Minister of Road Transport, Dr Richard Anane.
