Twifo Assembly approves Agyeibie-Kesse as DCE

Twifo-Praso (C/R), June 6, GNA – Members of the Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District Assembly, on Monday approved the nomination of Mr Yaw Agyeibie-Kesse as the new District Chief Executive (DCE).

Mr Agyeibie-Kesse, polled 52 of the 56 votes cast, representing 93 per cent. Three members voted against his nomination, while the remaining ballot cast, was spoilt.

In an address, the new DCE expressed his gratitude to President Kufuor for the confidence reposed in him and promised to live up to expectation.

He also assured the Assembly members that he had accepted the challenge ahead as the new District Chief Executive and appealed to traditional rulers in the area in particular, to support the Assembly in ensuring peace for accelerated development.

The Deputy Central Regional Minister, Nana Ato Arthur, commended the Assembly members for voting massively to approve the new DCE and asked them to unite for the benefit of the District.

Mr Joseph Blay, District Magistrate, swore Mr Agyeibie-Kesse, 27, into office.
