Chief undertake projects from own resources

Amasaman (G/A), June 1, GNA – Nii Abesse Lamptey, Chief of Abesse, near Amasaman in the Ga West District is undertaking a number of projects at the cost of 500 million cedis to face-lift his town. The projects include a Clinic, a junior secondary school and blocks for a senior secondary school.

Conducting the Ghana News Agency round the projects on Tuesday at Abesse Nii Lamptey said he has already completed a block of six double rooms to accommodate teachers free of charge.

He said the projects were his contribution towards the promotion of teaching and learning in the area.

Nii Lamptey has also provided temporal structure for a kindergarten, primary and junior secondary school for over 400 children at a fee of 50,000 cedis a term as against 300,000 cedis being charged elsewhere.

The Chief appealed to the Ga West District Assembly and the World Vision International to assist in the early completion of the projects.
