Assembly urged to provide new structure for Akotoshie JSS

Amasaman, June 1, GNA – Mr Kingsley Apedo, Assembly Member for Akotoshie, has appealed to the Ga West District Assembly to provide a permanent school block to replace the Bamboo structure at the Akotoshie Number Two Junior Secondary School, near Amasaman. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Amasaman on Tuesday, Mr Apedo said school had to close anytime there was a threat of a rain as the pupils, teachers, books and other teaching aids were at risk of being drenched.

Mr Apedo said the people were ready to provide communal labour should the Assembly initiate work on a permanent structure for the school. He called on benevolent societies, financial institutions to come to the aid of the children in such a deprived area.
