US philanthropist donate items to Bonwire schools

Bonwire, (Ash), May 29, GNA- Mrs Franklies Hudson Borton, a US Philanthropist has donated clothes, books, and other teaching and learning materials worth 2,100 dollars to three basic schools at Bonwire in the Ejisu-Juaben District.

She also made a cash donation of 900 dollars to the beneficiary schools to improve on their infrastructure.

The schools are Bonwire D/C JSS, Bonwire Anglican Primary School and Nana Antobre Preparatory School.

Mrs Borton said the donation was in fulfilment of a promise she made to the people last year when she was on a visit.

Nana Bobie Ansah 11, Chief of Bonwire who received the items on behalf of the schools thanked Mrs Borton for the gesture. He urged parents to ensure the proper upbringing of their children to enable them grow up to become responsible citizens. 29 May 05
