Apam Secondary School headmaster inducted into office

Apam (C/R), May 28, GNA – The Methodist Bishop of Cape Coast, the Right Reverend Isaac Quansah has inducted the new headmaster of the Apam Secondary School, Mr. Archibald Kwabena Fauh into office. Speaking at the ceremony at Apam on Saturday, Bishop Quansah urged Ghanaians to be bold to point out the wrongs in the society instead of judging the perpetuators as righteous people.

He noted that corruption was on the ascendancy because of the inability of Ghanaians to expose those who indulged in malpractices. Bishop Quansah reminded the new Headmaster that he was taking over the administration of the school at a time the school was facing difficulties and asked him to work hard to find solutions to them. Mr. Fuah said that the school needed a major rehabilitation of some of the buildings, improvement of sanitation facilities and solution of water problem.

He urged parents to advise their children to behave and said he would not tolerate indiscipline and those who would go to his office to beg on behalf of any students for misconduct. Nr Fuah pointed out, however, that his doors were opened for meaningful suggestions that would push the school forward and called for support from the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and the Board of Governors of the School.

The Chairman of the PTA, Mr Emmanuel Addai, promised the Association would continue to support the new headmaster and appealed to him to work hard for the school to regain its past glory. Some parents pledged cash and building materials towards the improvement of facilities at the school. The Old Students Association promised to replace the furniture of the dinning hall and donated 1.7 million cedis towards development projects in the school.
