African Parliament commends Rex

Accra, May 13, GNA – The Pan-African Parliament in South Africa has congratulated Mr. Rex Owusu-Ansah, for executing its assignment in helping to establish the Pan-African Parliament.

Mr Owusu-Ansah is to take up an appointment as the Acting Head of the Ghana Local Government Service on July 4, this year. A statement issued by the Pan-African Parliament expressed its appreciation to the Ghana Government for releasing Mr. Owsu-Ansah to act as the interim clerk of the august house from 2004.

It noted that as interim clerk of the Parliament, Mr. Owusu-Ansah’s assignment to set up administrative structure and assist in the recruitment of Parliament staff would come to a close on June 30, this year and that he would be released of the duty.

The statement endorsing the enormous contribution Mr Owusu-Ansah made to the establishment of the Nascent Institution, an Organ of the African Union said it wished him well in his new position after the elapse of his time schedule with the Parliament.
