Today, May 2 public holiday

The Government on Thursday reminded the public that Sunday May 1 (May Day) is a statutory public holiday.
A statement signed by the Minister of the Interior, Papa Owusu-Ankomah said because May Day falls on Sunday, President John Agyekum Kufuor has by Executive Instrument declared Monday, May 2 as a public holiday.
The statement said the day should be observed as such throughout the country.
