2221 Candidates begin BECE at Wa

Wa, April 18, GNA – Some 2,221 candidates, comprising 1,319 boys and 902 girls, on Monday began the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in all the 10 centres in Wa.

The candidates came from junior secondary schools in the Wa Municipality, Wa East and Wa West districts.

They included 14 blind and 5 deaf candidates from the two schools from the blind and the deaf both based in Wa.

No absentees and no incidents had been recorded at the time the Ghana News Agency went to six of the centres located at the Wa Senior Secondary School which has three centres, the Wa Secondary Technical school two of the centres and one at the Wa School for the Deaf.
