Nursing mother commits suicide

Awutu-Bawjiase (C/R), April 13, GNA – A 38-year-old nursing mother from Awutu-Bawjiase in the Central Region, Madam Adjoa Fio, had committed suicide at Awutu-Bawjiase.

According to the Bawjiase police, the body of the deceased was found hanging on a nylon sponge in one of the rooms in her house. People living around the deceased home discovered the incident following continuous crying of her 10 months old baby, which observers believed felled from the back of the woman when she was struggling to die after she had hanged herself.

Meanwhile, the body of Madam Fio had been deposited at the Police Hospital in Accra, while investigations continue. 13 April 05
