Business Forum on Ghana in Maryland

The Howard County Economic Development Authority’s International Trade centre(ITC) announces Ghana Day 2005 to take place on April 26 2005 from 8.30am to 12.30pm at the Centre for Business and Technology Development, 9250 Bendix Road, North Columbia, Maryland. The conference fee is $25 and registration must be received by April 22.

Ghana is recongnized as the gateway to a growing West African region and provides enormous economic potential for local companies wishing to develop international trade opportunities. The Ghana Day 2005 conference will include discussion of opportunities to operate or invest in Ghana, the identification of products, services and technologies appropiate for Ghana, with particular focus on Tourism/Reserve Tourism and Agribusiness. In addition to Ambassador Fritz Kwabena Poku, Johson Adasi, Minister of Trade and Investment and Ivor Agyeman-Duah, Minister Counselor and Head of Public Affairs from the Embassy of Ghana, guests will include Howard County Executive James N. Robey, and local businesses/agencies experienced in international trade and investment. This initiative by the Howard Country Development Authority’s International Trade Centre is presented with the African American Coalition of Howard County, the African Art Museum of Maryland-Institute of African Commerce and Culture, the Embassy of Ghana, the Maryland Department of Agriculture, the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development Office of International Trade, and the U.S. Export Assistance Centre.
